This site is dedicated to Henry George and Mary Bevans and their descendants.

Who was our Henry George?


He was a Welshman who immigrated to the United States in the late 1700's. He spent time in the Philadelphia area, moved to inner Pennsylvania, (Beulah and Ebensburg area), and in the early 1800's moved to the Chesterville area in what is now Morrow County, Ohio. He was a Baptist missionary and started several churches in Ohio.
